week 5
GROW
This week you are going to be taking the opportunity to ‘be’ in nature. It’s been a busy few weeks and this is a bit of a rest, relax and refresh week. Nature doesn’t ‘grow’ all the time, and these periods of resting mean that when the time is right, strong growth will happen. You’ll be taking inspiration from nature’s rest as you allow yourself some time out in nature to simply ‘be’ with nothing to do, nothing to create, no ideas to come up with.
Notice how you feel for the rest of the week as you work on your business and the impact of having a few moments of rest has on your creativity and energy.
Watch below as I talk you through your second ‘Grow’ activity, you can also read through the instructions below the video and use my relaxing audio guide to help you sink into stillness.

Rest with Nature
Week 5 audio guide
1.
Head out into nature to a spot where you feel ‘cocooned’ and undisturbed. You can even use a space in your garden if you have one. You’ll be sitting against something or if you feel comfortable to you can lie down on the ground. I find lying down really helps me to fully relax! I also enjoy sitting by a tree and letting myself sink into it.
2.
Once you have settled into your natural space to rest press play on the audio guide as I guide you through a nature based relaxation.
3.
Spend as long as you like ‘being’ in nature! Enjoy the sounds, smells, sights and feelings. It may take a while for you to relax and don’t worry if at first you feel restless. After 5 or so minutes you’ll find you start to relax more and can enjoy ‘being’.
4.
When you are ready to head back home, take this calm energy back with you. Walk back slowly and notice how you feel as you go about your day. What has changed? How did that moment of being help you?
5.
Now this week work on your intention and actions and try taking some moments of ‘being’ out in nature whenever you can to bring calm creativity to whatever you are approaching!
Your Key Takeaways:
• Nature doesn’t ‘grow’ all the time, and these periods of resting mean that when the time is right strong growth will happen.
• Rest, doing nothing and ‘being’ are difficult for us as we are so used to ‘doing’. Don’t beat yourself up if you find this hard as it takes practice!
• A relaxed mind is a creative mind – how did your work change after you had given yourself this opportunity to ‘be’ in nature?
Your next steps:
• Bring in moments of rest in nature and notice how you feel when you approach your working day.
• Consider if you balance rest with action and do you need to include more rest in your everyday?
• Check in and see where you are with your ‘Forest Intention’ what do you need to do this week?
